Arabic lyrical music composition varies according to the different melodic building systems and structures
It is a type of singing that has a simpler form than poems, dating back to the time after the Arabs took over Andalusia. Some of the Muwashahat are exactly poems, but some do not comply in structure to the meter of poetry, it sometimes contains slang expressions or words.
The Muwashah’s tune is drafted using famous rhythms of Arabic music and this is one of its most important features in composition.
