Here the instructor talks about the structural form of the Sama’ee template. He .explains the Sama’ee which is on the Bayat scale __ Hello my name is Tareq Al Jundi from i3zif.com. and today in lesson #13, we will learn a piece called Sama'ee Bayat Arabi, and this Sama'ee template which we will learn is derived from Sama'ee Thaqeel scale which we studied. The composition or structure of Sama'ee is exactly like longa, we have first verse, chorus (or signo) repeated, second verse, chorus again, third verse, chorus, and fourth verse.. usually the fourth verse has a conversion in scale, it turns into a dance, it turns into a faster track, but in this Sama'ee, it will all be 10/8 , and at the end we go to the chorus, and finish with Sama'ee. Sama'ee is on Bayat Re scale, we have ♭ Si, and 1/2 ♭ Mi, and same thing starts with Lavari or pick up. If we want to read it rhythmically, from the beginning Tati Ta Rest Ta Tati Ta Tati Tati Ta Rest Tati Ta Rest Ta Tati Ta Tati Tati Ta.. notice how the units of the first and second bar are the same.. now I will read it with notes: La Si Do Rest La Si La Sol La Sol Fa Mi Fa Rest La Si Do Rest La Si La Sol La Sol Fa Mi fa Rest. Now look at the last part of the second bar Tati Ta, goes to the chorus, Rest Tati Tati Ta Tati Tati Ta Rest Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Ta now again from the same last part of second bar with notes Mi Fa Sol Rest La Sol Fa Mi Re Mi Re Mi Fa Sol Rest La Si Do Re Do Si Si La La Sol Sol Fa Fa Mi Mi Re Re ..okay.. now I will play it, start with La *Play music* first part, again *Play music* next Tati Ta Tati Ta Ti Tati Tati Ta Ti Tati Ta Rest Tati Ta Ti Tati Tati Ta Rest Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Tati Ta Rest Tati and back to the repeat sign, from Sol.. now read from the second bar pick up, in the chorus : Si La Sol La Sol Fa Fa Sol Fa Sol Fa Sol Fa Mi Mi Fa Mi Re Rest Mi Re Do Do Mi Re Mi Fa Sol Rest La Si Do Re Do Do Si Si La La Sol Sol Fa Fa Mi Mi Re Re Rest, this is the prima, when we repeat we skip it to the seconda, Si La Sol La Sol Fa Fa sol Fa Sol Fa Mi Mi Fa Mi Re Rest Mi Re Do Do Mi Re Mi Fa Sol Rest , next: La Si Do Re Do Si Si La La Sol Sol Fa Fa Fa Mi Mi Re Re Rest.. I will play from the second bar pick up, in the chorus *Play music* from the top, this way we have played the first verse consisting of 2 bars, then we have chorus with 5 bars with the prima, and 6 with the seconda. From the top *Play music* this way we have finished the first verse and chorus from Sama'ee Bayat Arabi old.. there are some recordings for it that we can listen to and play along with. It is very important to read the scale and clap with the scale. See you next lesson, to continue the 2nd, 3rd and last verses.
