25 - Tal'a Men Bait Abouha song
In lesson 25, and the last one in this course, we learn to play the song "Tal'a Men Bait Abouha" by Nathem Al Ghazali. Tareq plays it differently than the first course by applying the method of alternation between bass and treble cords. This exercise requires high focus and extensive practice in order to play the song correctly. After explaining the parts of the song, Tareq plays it fully in the normal speed while elaborating that reaching this speed required practicing it slowly and mastering it, then gradually increasing speed. Tareq concludes the course by tips on daily practice, finger exercise and gradual increase of speed, and promises the students with more courses. __ Hello my name is Tareq Al Jundi from i3zif.com. today In lesson no. 25 and the last one from the curriculum of Mr. Omar Abbad, we will learn the song Tala’a Mn Bei abouha in a slightly different form. Let us look at the note in hand, we will notice that each note is written in bass and treble form, also notice that they are all written in tati. Look at the stems of the notes, how they are pointing downwards. If we look at the notes with the stem down, and why are they written like this ? the point is to look how they are written as ta, this is the original note. For example the first one is Do Do Do Mi Re Do Si Sol, Do Do Mi Re Do Re Re.. this is the same one we learned in the first course. If we look and notice that the notes have increased in numbers. The first Do has a bass Do , the first one, the second Do as well, and the third. Also the Mi has a bass Mi. let us try to play the first bar Do, Mi , Re, Do, Si, Sol. The first 2 bars are now, Do with Do, then Do with Do, Mi with Mi, Re with Re, Do with Do, Si with Si, Sol with Sol, next Do with Do , again Do with Do, Do, Mi with Mi, Re with Re, Do, Re, we must be careful with the calibration. Now with the second bar in the second Line, Do with Do , Do with DO, Mi with Mi, Re with Re, Do with DO, Si with Si, Sol with Sol, Re with Re, Re with Re, Re with Re, Mi with Mi, Re with Re, Si with Si, DO with Do, DO with Do. What we are seeing here is that the original notes of the song are the ones with the stem down with the Ta, or the noir. What I want to say is that the top ones are extra, because we are trying to add ornamentation. Let us try to play it along with the metronome and see the result when we start practicing slowly 1 2 3 4 … this was with the metronome slowly played. But we must dissect it each 2 parts at a time. For example the first part of the first bar DO with Do, keep on repeating, the next part is Do with Do, then Mi with Mi because the calibration process is very important, next bar is Re with Re, keep repeating, then Do with Do, Si with Si, Sol with Sol. You will only feel it when you practice it and play it like this … from the top … this way we have played Tala’a mn Beit abouha and learned it in a different method than the easy one we used in the previous course. I hope you have enjoyed and benefited from this course. Practice very well, and I expect that your skills in reading the notes have developed. The method and forms of using the pick as well as the new signs and notes we learned will be of use in the applications we will learn in the third course.
