Hello my name is Tareq Al Jundi from i3zif.com. today in lesson no. 8 we will learn the dotted noir , followed by the tifi, which is a combination of 2 croches. Let us see how we derived this note. First we have the ta , and ta tifi, if we connected this noir with the croche, the result is as we see, it will be ta tifi. We first learned it when we had the dotted noir followed by a blanche, which is a ta ti. This one will be ta tifi, ta tifi, ta tifi. It is also the same note that we see , ta es tifi ta es tifi, they are almost the same duration, but in ta es tifi there is a silence, ta es tifi. Let us look at the noir tied to the croche, ta tifi, we can replace this tie with a dot, to have ta tifi. Let us look at it with the metronome , 1 2 ta tifi ta tifi ta tifi. Let us try to read the first exercise with the metronome, 1 2 : ta ta tifi tati ta tifi ta ta tifi ta es tifi tati ta tifi ta es tifi tatifi es tifi es tifi ta. 1 2 … ta ta tifi tati ta tifi ta ta tifi ta es tifi tati ta tifi ta es tifi ta tifi es tifi es tifi ta.. as we have here, and as we know that ta is down and tifi is down up, like this. Take a look at exercise no. 2, and try to read it 1 2 : ta ta tifi ta es tifi ta ta tifi ta fa tifi ta tifi ta es tifi ta tifi ta ta tifi ta fa tifi ta. 1 2 … ta ta tifi ta es tifi ta ta tifi ta fa tifi ta tifi ta es tifi ta tifi ta ta tifi ta fa tifi ta. Now I will repeat that tifi following the dotted noir right after the second metronome beat, back to the first note on the top of the page ta tifi ta tifi ta tifi . it has to be after the metronome beat. Take a look at exercise no. 3, this exercise we have the first phrase ta es tifi ta , the second bar is ta tifi ta, basically the 2 phrases are the same notes, Do es Re Re Mi, and the second bar is Do Re Re Mi, then Re Mi Mi Fa Re Mi Mi Fa. As you can see my hand should be stable on Mi when I play the Fa, the Mi Es Fa Fa Sol, Mi Fa Fa Sol, then Fa Es Sol Sol La, Fa Sol Sol La, Sol es La La Si, Sol La La Si, La es Si Si Do, La Si Si Do. Let us play it with the metronome 1 2 Do es Re Re Mi, Do Re Re Mi, Re es Mi Mi Fa, Re Mi Mi Fa, Mi es Fa Fa Sol, Mi Fa Fa Sol, Fa es , Fa Sol Sol La, Sol es La La Si, hold your finger, Sol La La Si, La es Si Si Do, La Si Si Do. Like this. . what we saw is the dotted noir ta with tifi and we played exercises no. 1 2 & 3, it is very important to note the pick direction, the ta is like this and tifi is like this. Let us practice very well because we will have an exercise in the next lesson.
