21 - a new note
in lesson 21 , we learn a new note called the Ta Fi. Tareq explains the derivation of this note and how it is written. he starts by explaining the first exercise on this note. Then he reads each bar rhythmically and plays it . He concludes the exercise by playing it entirely then moves on to the second exercise on this note and the Nahawand Do scale. He reviews all the notes in the Nahawand Do scale and then explains and plays the entire exercise. Tareq focuses on the pick, its direction and on correct counting of the durations of notes.

Hello my name is Tareq Al Jundi from i3zif.com. today in lesson no. 21 from the curriculum of Mr. Omar Abbad, we will learn a new note which is Ta Fi.. if we look at this note which is a croche followed by a dot, we know that the croche time is ½, and the dot is ½ of its predecessor, so ¼ , which results in the dotted croche time to be ¾, then we have a separate ¼ . if we look at how this note was derived, it was ta fa tifi to begin with, we combined the first ¾ of the ta fa tifi and left the last 1/4. Or it is the ta tifi, we added the ¼ to the ½ and resulted in this ta fi ta fi.. let us try to play it with the metronome, it has to have the time of one beat, ta fi ta fi ta fi ta fi ta fi .. the ta fa tifi is 4 beats, if it was 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 , it is 1 2 3 4 1 2 34 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 .. I will try to play it, ta fi Is down up, ta fi ta fi ta fi ta fi ta fi ta fi….
